Highlights

We fish the Barataria Estuary which is located 30 miles south of downtown New Orleans.   Generally, we like to leave the launch site at safe light to take advantage of the early morning tailing red fish.

You will be fishing from one of the mud boats custom designed to allow us to fish the shallow water flats.  Each boat is equipped with 8 wt. rods, reels, flies, leader material and cell phones at no additional cost to you.   If you prefer to bring your own equipment, we suggest your favorite 7,8, or 9 wt. rod with floating line.

Non-resident 3 day Louisiana Fishing License can be obtained the night before the trip by calling 1-888-765-2602.  You will be asked to provide my LDWF identification number which is "850226234".  Louisiana residents must provide their own license.

If you choose to stay in downtown New Orleans, you will need to drive or catch a cab (approx. 15 min.) to the Shoney's Restaurant on the Westbank Expressway to meet your guide.  If you decide to stay on the Westbank there are several choices available.   The Riverside Hotel in Belle Chase would more convenient and you can make reservations by calling 1-877-817-5300.  Other choices are the Holiday Inn (504) 366-2361 or the LaQuinta Motor Inn (504) 368-5600, your guide will meet you at the hotel.

We will stop at a sandwich shop so you can purchase lunch for the day.  Your guide will provide bottled water and cold drinks.

The trip is $350 per day for 1 or 2 anglers.  Our booking policy is 50% of the total cost upon booking, with a $600 maximun deposit.

The trip is NOT BOOKED UNTIL THE DEPOSIT IS RECEIVED at which time a confirmation will be sent via mail or fax.  The remaining balance is due at the end of the trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

    If the guide service cancels the trip for any reason you will receive a full refund.
